Moonever in Cormyr
Moonever is a modest fishing village in Cormyr, home to roughly 800 residents, situated on the eastern bank of the Starwater River just inland from its mouth. The settlement is best known for supplying oysters to many inland towns and villages. Carts packed with dripping ice and fresh shellfish are a familiar sight along the coastal roads of Cormyr as traders carry Moonever’s catch farther into the realm.
The village supports a handful of small trades tied to its fishing industry. Hobble’s Hooks, a modest but busy fishhook factory, operates here, along with a cordwainer who produces rope for local fishermen and riverfolk. In addition, more than twenty netweavers work in Moonever, repairing old nets and crafting new ones for the village’s boats.
Aside from these practical industries, Moonever offers little to attract visitors. Weathered docks, aging boats, and the ever-present scent of fish and brine dominate the village, giving it a rough and workmanlike character typical of many coastal communities in Cormyr.
